Sending your child’s artwork is an exciting step. With a few simple preparations, everything can travel safely, whether it’s a flat drawing, a textured masterpiece, or a collection of mixed pieces. These guidelines help protect the artwork on its journey so it arrives ready to be transformed into something special.
Add protection around the artwork
A little structure goes a long way in keeping artwork safe.
Flat drawings and paintings
Place them between two pieces of clean cardboard. Tape the edges lightly so the artwork cannot slide.Textured or raised pieces
Wrap gently in tissue paper to protect the surface without pressing it down. This is also great for preventing the spread of glitter in glitter paintings.Fragile items
Add a layer of bubble wrap for cushioning.
Choose sturdy outer packaging
Select packaging that won’t bend easily.
A rigid mailer works well for flat pieces.
A large rigid box is ideal for mixed or bulkier items.
If you don’t have a full box, you can sandwich the mailer bag between cardboard or a flattened box for extra support.
For oversized or 3D pieces
Some artwork needs a little creativity to package safely.
Bend larger pieces carefully (not fold) to fit into a box.
If the artwork allows, roll it into a cardboard tube.
Wrap 3D or delicate items so they don’t move around inside the box.
Make it shower‑proof
Slip everything into a plastic sleeve or waterproof bag before sealing the parcel. This protects the artwork from rain or damp during postage.
Label clearly
Write “Fragile” and “Do not bend” on the front of your parcel.
Including your name and order number inside helps us process your order quickly once it arrives.
These simple steps help ensure your child’s creations arrive safely and ready for their transformation.
